Project Description

Moqui Steps

In 1973 One-armed Willie Illingsworth built Moqui Steps and her sister ship Ootsa Lake for Martin Litton. They are oversized McKenzie-style boats built of aluminum. The Moqui found her way to Flagstaff in 2012, heavily bastardized with plumbing and wiring and literally hundreds of gratuitous holes. Not to mention the massive dents. We got her on her way to being a boat again, although the work is not yet complete.
