Emery Kolb’s 1911 Edith

In 2011 Dan Dierker and I built this replica of the original Edith, which Kolb rowed down the Green and Colorado 100 years earlier. I’ve rowed Edith through Lodore, Cataract Canyon, and Grand Canyon. She’s a stubborn girl—too long for her width—or too narrow for her length.
