In 2024 we joined with Steve Steele to lead a class recreating Martin Litton’s first dory, Portola, later renamed Diablo Canyon. The class was sponsored by the McKenzie River Discovery Center, based at the old Leaburg Fish Hatchery where Steve’s father Keith Steele built the original. Against all odds she was finished, painted, and floating on Day ten.
