The last day of the year began with a beautiful sparkly winter morning. I did a bit of interior work on Moe and fashioned the portage bar and bow post. These I bolted on before decking, as I am not limber enough to get inside the hatches to do it later. By dark I was putting on the decking and before long I could hear New Years fireworks and screaming wafting up the hill from downtown. Moe and I paused long enough to send up a flaming heart sky lantern out over the city, rising above the moon.

And then it was 2013. Or I should say now it is 2013.  I was within 39 minutes of my goal of decking Moe in 2012. Not too bad. But I think it looked a lot cooler without the decking.
